GOLF TOURNAMENT slated for September 22nd.
The Chamber’s annual golf tournament, chaired this year by Susan
Taylor (PNC Bank) and Rick Sutton (Bank of Glen Burnie) will be held
at Chartwell Country Club on Monday, September 22nd.  Enclosed in
this newsletter is information on
sponsorships.  The tournament has
historically been a
“sell out” event and we are looking forward to
another day of great golf and exemplary company.  Watch for more

CAMPAIGN UNDERWAY FOR 2008-09
BUSINESS AND COMMUNITY GUIDE.
Carolyn Melton of Marcom Marketing and
Communication is actively working on publication
of this year’s edition.  The annual Guide is a
hands-on publication that is widely distributed
throughout the community to all area residents
and businesses.  Advertising in our annual
Business and Community Guide is available to
CHAMBER MEMBERS ONLY.  It is an excellent
value because not only is it reasonable, but the
book lasts an entire year!  That means a lot of
exposure for your advertising dollar!  Call

Our “BUSINESS BITES” program will not be
held in July, but will resume with a tremendous
program in August….watch for details!

We’re holding an event in September for our
growing senior population in the Greater
Severna Park area, and throughout Anne
Arundel County.   It will be entitled “Living
Long – Living Well”, and will be held on
September 10th at the Severna Park Elk’s
Lodge off Truckhouse Road in Severna Park.  
The event will include exhibitor space, seminars
(wellness, spirituality, the “Village Concept”),
an inexpensive lunch, and health screenings.  
Sponsorships for this event are being offered.
A sponsorship form is enclosed.
We’re very excited to be able to present this
event!  If your business markets to senior
citizens, this will be an excellent opportunity for
you!  The event will be widely marketed.  We
thank the Severna Park Elks for their
