As of the date of the acceptance of these Articles of Association and Bylaws, this association shall be known as
"Operation Support Our Troops, Incorporated.".(herein referred to as "OSOTinc.").
ARTICLE II - PURPOSES
To provide members with opportunities for education about matters relating to the needs, morale and welfare of
the United States military forces deployed around the globe, and to encourage and support efforts to improve
morale and welfare of these troops. To raise funds to further the goals of the organization.
ARTICLE III - ORGANIZATION
The organization shall be operated as a nonprofit unincorporated association under the laws of the State of
Rhode Island and as specified in Section 501(c) 3 of the Internal Revenue Code.
ARTICLE IV - MEMBERSHIP
Membership is informal and extended to all individuals seeking to understand and improve the lives of our
military service personnel. A membership shall be defined as a member of the OSOTinc. list server. Each
membership is entitled to one vote. By seeking membership, individuals have agreed to refrain from any actions
which would constitute, in the minds of the organization's leadership, any attempt to influence national policy,
critique the actions of military leadership or criticize publicly other members.
ARTICLE V - ADMINISTRATION
An Executive Board consisting of the officers of the association and other members as deemed appropriate by
the President shall manage the business, property, and affairs of the association.
ARTICLE VI - OFFICERS & EXECUTIVE BOARD
Section 1. President. The president shall be the official voice of the organization; and shall perform all duties as
are incidental to the Office and are properly required of a President.
Section 2. Vice President/Secretary. This officer shall take over the responsibilities of the President should the
President be absent for an extended period of time or temporarily unable to serve. Secretarial duties include
producing organizational communications and keeping organizational records.
Section 3. Treasurer. The Treasurer shall be the custodian of all funds. The Treasurer shall conduct the
banking business in conjunction with the wishes of the executive board and the board of directors. A treasurer's
report must be forthcoming at the request of the President and/or the Board of Directors on demand or at least
quarterly.
Section 4. Executive Board. The Executive Board members shall be appointed by and serve at the favor of the
President.. Their duties include advising the President and assisting in determining policy.
ARTICLE VII - SELECTION OF OFFICERS, APPROVAL OF EXECUTIVE BOARD
All officers, except for the original officers, identified in Article VI shall be approved by a majority of the Board of
Directors by email affirmation, on an annual basis.
ARTICLE VIII - FINANCES
The Treasurer shall collect, hold and handle all moneys of the organization and disburse all funds as required
for the efficient operation of the organization. The Treasurer is authorized to establish and maintain such bank
accounts as the President and Board of Directors deem necessary for the performance of the duties of the
organization. The Treasurer shall report on the financial status of the organization
quarterly and upon request by the President. The President has the authority to make deposits, co-ordinate
with the treasurer to make payments or purchases on behalf of OSOTinc.. If the treasurer is unavailable, the
President has the authority to assume the responsibilities of the treasurer. At present, there are no membership
fees to be collected.
ARTICLE IX - OPERATION AND DISSOLUTION OF THE ORGANIZATION
Notwithstanding any other provision of these articles, the organization shall not carry on any other activities not
permitted to be carried on by any organization exempt from Federal Income Tax as an organization described in
Section 501 (c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code (or corresponding section of any future Federal Tax Code).
Upon the dissolution of this organization, after paying or adequately providing for the debts and obligations of
the organization, the remaining assets shall be distributed to the Fisher Foundation, a nonprofit foundation,
organized and operated exclusively for the purpose specified in Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code
and which has established its tax-exempt status under that section.
ARTICLE X - AMENDMENTS
Amendments to the bylaws may be proposed at any time via simultaneous communication with the officers of the
organization. A copy of the proposed change will be provided to the Board of Directors who will vote on the
proposal in a timely manner.
ACCEPTANCE OF THE ARTICLES OF ASSOCIATION AND BYLAWS
Let it be known that on this date, a majority vote approved the Articles of Association and Bylaws for Operation
Support our Troops,  Inc.
