Maryland, and specifically, Anne Arundel County, fared exceptionally well in the 2005 BRAC Process, lending additional momentum toward enhancing Anne Arundel County’s diversified, and knowledge-based economy. Conservatively, current estimates place the direct, indirect, and induced jobs being created in Anne Arundel County in conjunction with BRAC, in the range of 9,000 to 14,000 jobs through the next six plus years, and it must be noted that a significant percentage of them are in high technology.
